The Spotlight's On: Megan Landmeier of My Stubborn Little Miss

Name: Megan Landmeier
Blog Name and URL: My Stubborn Little Miss (www.mystubbornmiss.com)

Blogger or Wordpress? Blogger.  I started with Blogger, and would probably switch if I were more tech-savvy.

Favorite widget or plugin? LinkWithin.
Best way I've gotten to know about other bloggers, and the best way people have explored my blog.

What’s one thing that people don’t know about you?

Oh geez.  I am not great at team sports, but I coached volleyball.  I don't eat red meat.  I love buffalo chicken, but my husband does not.  That's three.

While we are at it, what’s your theme song?

I wish I could answer, but I currently have the song from Signing Time stuck in my head.

Dish you would bring to our community picnic:

Cakepops, buffalo chicken dip, or watermelon salad.

On Blogging:

What got you blogging and what keeps you going?

I started blogging because keeping everyone informed in the NICU was too overwhelming.  I kept going because my mom would cry if I stopped and she got less frequent Ellie photos, and because I love our online community.  Meeting people in real life has affirmed why I blog - we get to know this diverse segment of the population, who all have children with Down syndrome in common, but who I otherwise would never meet.
One post (that you wrote) that makes you laugh?  http://www.mystubbornmiss.com/2013/02/sea-monster-vs-happy-barnacle-mostly.html (My husband gets a lot of credit, though.)
One post you are really proud of, for whatever reason? http://www.mystubbornmiss.com/2012/10/31-for-21-worst-case-scenario.html

How have you seen your blog/blogging style change and how would you like to see it develop?

My photos have improved, and I write less about Down syndrome now.  I'd like to write more about Ellie's educational process as she gets older, I'm fascinated by the way she learns, and I also teach special ed.
Two blogs you love to read and why?  Only two?  Seriously?  That question is mean.  I'm going to answer with two NOT-AT-ALL-ABOUT-DOWN-SYNDROME blogs.  One, carameredith.com.  Just a lot of great thoughts on faith and life and mamahood, and she's an excellent writer to boot.  Two, Life with Kaishon, another blog about beauty and love and good laughs, and not about Down syndrome (although the author follows a number of blogs in our community.)  http://www.lifewithkaishon.com/

Where else can we find you online?
